Captain Scott's
Sailing

From: Comment:
John and MaryWe went out on our boat with Scott in June to get a few pointers, and to have someone else onboard for the chicken who doesn\'t trust her husband! We put up the staysail for the first time, and had a bit of wind to practice with. The most important thing Scott said to me was, "Learn to relax and enjoy it. Get some cushions for the cockpit, get a lantern, get a hammock..RELAX". Well, we have some cushions now, a hammock, and a lantern, and it doesn't just seem like stress, and work now. Thanks Scott.
John and LindaThanks again for a great time on the water. Our grandkids really had a good time. Here are a few photos from yesterday. Please use us as a reference. John and Linda.
Mrs EENote for Captain Scott-from Mrs EE. I have enjoyed your pictures so much-my father was USCG on an '82 and bouy tenders. He patroled the straits and enjoyed the whales so much. When you post-I go back to places and memories of the northwest and where I grew up! You know-mountains, snow, real seasons and you can go outside in summer and not melt. Thanks again-I hope to drag Mr. EE up there to experience "God's country". All support appreciated..........
DelWhat a perfect day! Thanks Captain Scott for a memorable day that my son and I will be talking about for a long, long time. The sailing adventure fascinated Cole who loved exploring Destiny and still cannot stop asking questions. Your knowledge and knack of story telling about sailing captivated both me and Cole. And then there were the whales! When we saw the whale spouts from afar I was amazed. But when you anticipated where the whales would next surface and two gray whales appeared on both sides of the bow of the ship, I knew we would never forget this trip! I would recommend this trip to any father wanting to take their curious son or daughter on a truly special day adventure.
AndrewCaptain Scott, as we work on this review I can't stop talking of the beyond fantastic experience on "Destiny" the other evening. The time you spent carefully explaining everything and sharing your expertise with us, as you let Melissa and myself pilot your wonderful yacht, will last long into our overall sailing adventures. I would encourage everyone who has even the slightest inclination to sail to do so and to start with a qualified captain. My first choice is Captain Scott Sailing. Thanks so much for starting our sailing lifestyle. We can hardly wait for the next sailing adventure with Captain Scott.
JackMy wife, Iryn and I went sailing with Captain Scott. This was our first time ever sailing and we knew NOTHING about sailing. We wanted to go Sailing with someone who knew how to sail like a pro. Captain Scott showed us all kinds of things like the proper speed in different places, docking, operationg the sails, how to heel the boat, using the tiller, traverler etc At the end of the day, we knew alot about sailing and had the time of our lives to boot. Captain Scott knows what he is doing and makes it fun. We can't wait to do it again!
EveMy husband and I went sailing with Captain Scott on a sunny afternoon in early May. As we headed out, looking back toward the shore, we had a stunning view of the water, Everett and the mountains beyond. Captain Scott had seen whales the week previous and he told us how to look for them. Sure enough we spotted them as they came up far across the water. He taught us some about their habits and to watch for the tails to come up just as they dove deep. Captain Scott’s flexibility in letting us enjoy these beautiful animals was very much appreciated. He navigated to bring us near the path the whales were heading so they passed by us very closely. We could see the barnacles and their mottled color both above and below the water. We also enjoyed the birds and sea lions. We had a wonderful time all afternoon. Captain Scott’s love of the water is contagious. He has a fun sense of humor as well. I look forward to more adventures with Captain Scott.
MargueriteGood Morning Scott: WOW! we had a great time! We all want to thank Ben and you for the wonderful time aboard the Destiny. Janine enjoyed the sun, Todd enjoy the sailing class and Bob and I enjoyed the view. The pictures are great Also would love to meet your wife and daughter next time. As for the buying a sail boat if that every happens I will surely look you up for professional consultants. We all were very impressed with your experience. I still am in awe of that way you parked the boat in that small location. I better let you go but just wanted to thank you so much for a wonderful Sabbath/Saturday Sailing. God Bless, Marguerite & Bob
